NOT SAINTs
Liberation Through the Looking Glass
Some five years ago, we weren't just facing a pandemic—we were living through an apocalypse of connection. As the world slammed its doors shut, Not Saints found ourselves stranded in the void: no gigs, no studios, no physical community. Just screens, isolation, and uncertainty.
But from these ashes, something extraordinary emerged.
We asked ourselves: What happens to recovery when the world stops? When meeting rooms are empty, when treatment centres close, when your lifeline becomes a phone call or a pixelated face on a screen?
With Arts Council backing, we launched a bold experiment—eight musicians in recovery from Brighton, given one week to transform their pandemic experiences into raw, honest art. The mission: capture this unprecedented moment in recovery history through music.
The result? This extremely limited-edition vinyl LP—the first and only in Not Saints history—featuring eight powerful stories of resilience. Beyond the vinyl, forty-five tracks now live on streaming platforms, creating a time capsule of voices who refused to let isolation silence their recovery.
This isn't just a record—it's a survivor's testament, a piece of Not Saints legacy, and a rare artifact from a time when the world held its breath.
